Hillary didn't quit until after the primaries were over after that,
Obama's grassroots organization grew stronger across the nation.
His fundraising network became more extentive, and his television and radio
advertising from that late fall of 2007 to june 2008 increased favorable
recognitions for him in the states.
Qualifier:
" We now know that airing such issues about Hillary the primaries significantly benefited mr. Obama in the general election.
airing them last spring gave Obama the time to develop effective responses, so he would be better prepared for post-labor day when the general electorate began to focus on the election".
Warrant:
Hillary Clinton is causing Obama to succeed in the election.
She is also earning him numerous voters who were once her supporters.

Mr. Obama became a better candidate over time as he was tested, and retested, in the key head-to-head debates with Mrs. Clinton.
These debates also made him more prepared and effective when he debated against Sen. John McCain than otherwise would have been.
